Testimonials from organisations we have worked with

Victim Support London
24 May 2011

Charmaine Pollard has been an associate trainer with Victim Support since 2006. She is an
excellent trainer with the ability to deliver complex information and sensitive issues in an appropriate way. She is
always well prepared, works well in a team, promotes diversity and equality in her training and is inclusive of all members of the group.
She is an excellent listener and has the ability to ask pertinent questions and draw out quieter members of the group.
She encourages people to participate fully, uses humour in an appropriate way and has an engaging style that is all her own.
Charmaine Pollard is an experienced trainer with Victim Support London and we value her assessment skills, pairing her with new associate trainers to act as a mentor and to give the organisation feedback on their skills.
I have co-trained several courses with Charmaine Pollard including domestic violence and sexual violence.

Charmaine’ Pollard’s s training has resulted in both staff and new volunteers feeling more confident about their role and ready to begin working with victims, and has enabled experienced participants to work with more sensitive issues and more vulnerable victims with confidence.

services to victims of domestic violence. The services include:

Overall the holistic provision of C P Counselling & Consulting has enhanced the quality of services offered to domestic violence survivors. Learning to love yourself       Forgiving self and others
Incredible confidence             Hat, Hair and Head Gear

Confidence Building Workshop- Two day course. Our tenants really enjoyed the course, it has helped them to become more confident and do and say things they would not normally be able to do.
The course is delivered in small groups and helped one particularly client to speak out as she felt at ease and relaxed.
The course is taught for every one to understand and participate.
As the course had such a great impact on our tenants we are planning on booking further courses in 2009.

Victim Support London

Charmaine Pollard has worked as an associate trainer for Victim Support London since May 2006. She has trained on our 5 day introductory course for new volunteers,
which enables participants to support victims of crime sensitively and empathetically by learning about the psychologically effects of crime, listening skills and the needs of victims. She has also trained on our 5 day domestic violence and sexual violence courses.

These courses enable staff and volunteers to support victims /survivors of these crimes.
Charmaine Pollard has received excellent feedback from participants on these courses and I have co- trained with her, I know her to be a skilled and supportive trainer. She is empathetic and sensitive to participants and very knowledgeable and experienced in her subject matter.

I have no hesitation in recommending her as both a counsellor and a trainer.
