External supervision or clinical supervision as it is often referred to, is essential for sustaining reflective practice.
Our Supervisor will provide a safe environment, where staff will focus on their work with clients, along with other professional issues they may encounter in their work.
Supervision enhances workers professional development and and we focus on the practitioner rather than the organisation.
Ongoing clinical /external supervision provided by a qualified and highly experienced practitioner, can prevent professional “burn out” and is vital for client safety and supports the practitioner to work more effectively with clients.
External supervision can help staff to:
• Address the emotional impact of working with clients
• Develop their understanding of the impact of trauma/ stress on them as a worker
• Develop self care strategies
• Explore any other issues which may impact on their capacity to provide support
• Gain an opportunity for professional and personal development
Experience
Our Supervisor obtained a certificate in person centred supervision in 2001 and has worked extensively over the last eleven years providing supervision to supervisees, in various sectors such as the private sector, voluntary sector and local authorities.
The issues which staff work with are :Domestic and sexual violence, social work, bereavement through homicide, hate crime, parenting, mentoring, homelessness and work with young people.
Our supervisor is a member of British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Appointments
We have a flexible appointment system; appointments are usually offered within seven days. Appointments start as early as 8.00 a.m. or as late as 8.00 pm.
We offer face to face individual supervision for one hour.
Group supervision is offered for a minimum of one and half hours.
We also can offer telephone supervision where appropriate.
Price
Individual supervision £55.00 per hour
Group supervision £75.00 per hour
